Tranquil is an immersive projection artwork, showcased at Cardinia Cultural Centre as part of the Chromatic Christmas activation for 2021. The projection transitions between three Christmas themes all set to bring joy to children while providing a warm, welcoming calm to the grown-ups.

Arctic Oasis, a landform directly inspired by the North Pole, features mystic creatures, Auroras and other little treats.

Elves rest is an outdoor workshop setting where Santa’s elves recuperate. Wooden houses, an outdoor fire, logs and toys in progress.

The World Tree is a more urban street setting that captures the morning of Christmas. A large Christmas tree centred in the street, accompanied by children’s cheers, smoking chimneys and basking sunlight.

Developed solely in Unreal Engine 5, this was a pipeline test for an immersive projection system for the space. This pipeline is set to further be refined and be utilised in other projects that involve projections and performance.
